Designed as the architect’s own workspace, The Terracotta Accent is a 900 sq.ft. studio envisioned as a quiet sanctuary for focused creativity. Located within a building housing lush greenery, the main concern was to keep the interior palette minimal to blend seamlessly with the foliage around. To complement the seasonally changing landscape, a single material microconcrete was used across the walls and ceilings, finished in two tones: terracotta red and concrete grey. These colours reference instinctive architectural materials—brick and concrete, allowing the interior to blend seamlessly with the greens outside. Grey forms the monolithic base of the space, while terracotta is introduced selectively on horizontal surfaces, accentuating the desks and floating shelves.
